With great effort, both in the country and abroad, the Universidad del Salvador has been carried on research work in its different schools and specific units:
26 institutes, 4 centres, 10 specialized areas and 1 extracurricular chair.
Likewise, the USAL owns 52 laboratories, 1 Sylvan Prommetric Examination room, 1 AATP room, 3 meteorological stations, 2 hydrological stations, 4 hydrometrical stations, 1 regional flora and fauna station 3 workshops and 1 astronomical observatory.
In accordance with the annual survey report called “Survey of entities which carry out scientific and technological activities”, issued by the Secretariat for Technology, Science and Productive Innovation (Secretar?a para la Tecnolog?a, la Ciencia y la Innovaci?n Productiva -SeTCIP), for the period March 2002/2003, 270 researchers financed by the USAL (divided as follows: 20 full-time staff, 102 part time staff, 27 technical staff, 95 support staff, 26 people in other scientific and technological activities), 46 CONICET researchers, 168 ad honorem researchers and 268 external ones belonging to national and international organizations and 66 students who take part in research projects were recorded in our data base.
As a result, for the same period (2002-2003), 192 research works, 444 publications including books, chapters of books and articles in scientific and academic bulletins and specialized reviews and 172 papers and exchange of information in congresses (14 abroad and 32 in the country) were carried out.
