Geoff Lindsey<\/strong> es profesor honorario de Ling\u00fc\u00edstica en el University College London y director del curso anual de fon\u00e9tica inglesa de la UCL. Es licenciado (con matr\u00edcula de honor) por la UCL y obtuvo su m\u00e1ster y su doctorado en la Universidad de California, Los \u00c1ngeles. Contribuy\u00f3 a la revisi\u00f3n de 1989 del Alfabeto Fon\u00e9tico Internacional y ha trabajado como analista forense del habla. Es coeditor del diccionario de pronunciaci\u00f3n CUBE. Geoff Lindsey is Honorary Professor of Linguistics at University College London and Director of UCL\u2019s annual English Phonetics Course. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree (with honors) from UCL and earned his Master\u2019s and PhD from the University of California, Los Angeles. He contributed to the 1989 revision of the International Phonetic Alphabet and has worked as a forensic speech analyst. He is co-editor of the CUBE pronunciation dictionary. Geoff has lectured in countries including the UK, Germany, Italy, Finland, and Japan, and has also enjoyed a successful creative career as a screenwriter, writing television episodes for the BBC and for the film Magic Piano, which was shortlisted for an Academy Award.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jane Setter<\/strong> es profesora de fon\u00e9tica en la Universidad de Reading, Reino Unido. Aunque probablemente sea m\u00e1s conocida por ser coeditora del *Cambridge English Pronouncing Dictionary* (CUP, 2011), tambi\u00e9n es autora de la obra dirigida al p\u00fablico general *Your Voice Speaks Volumes: It\u2019s not what you say but how you say it (OUP 2019), coautora de Hong Kong English (EUP 2010) y coeditora de The Cambridge Handbook of Phonetics (CUP 2022) y del Oxford Handbook of Language and Prejudice (OUP 2025), entre otros. Sus publicaciones de investigaci\u00f3n se centran principalmente en la prosodia del habla, investigando la pronunciaci\u00f3n y la fonolog\u00eda en los ingleses globales y en ni\u00f1os con diferencias en el habla y el lenguaje. Her research publications focus primarily on speech prosody, investigating pronunciation and phonology in global English speakers and in children with speech and language differences. Jane is a National Teacher Fellow of UK Advance HE and an advocate for public engagement in research and collaborative work with students.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
